Bath Bombs + Shower Steamers
Now is the time for you to take a little time to yourself…
I am a big advocate for targeted health — focusing on a specific part of the body and targeting wellness around that — and these bombs/steamers can help you do just that. These are so easy to make, and obviously to use, so why not? Right?
These take a grand total of about 10 mins to make. So easy! Take a look.
I love these bombs for myself, but they also make great gifts for others. I recently made a bunch of them for a women’s conference at my church. It was a blast! There was a bomb for everyone including 10 different ailments that we all commonly face.
My favorite thing to scent my bombs with are essential oils. The benefits are endless, depending on the oils you choose. They’re safe and non-toxic. When using these bombs in the shower or the bath, they dissolve and the heat releases the essential oils into the steam. You breathe the oils into the lungs, and the oils also get onto the skin, and then into the blood stream. That’s when the oils shine and can get to where your body needs support the most.
I have recently played around with many different scents, and I am loving Lavender + Vetiver + Adaptiv. It’s so yummy! I have lots of favorites, but to give you an idea, here are the other combinations I created — each designed for a specific reason and a specific purpose:

Tips & Tricks
Be sure that when you remove the mixture from the mold that you let it dry for at least 24 hours. This allows the mixture to harden.
When adding color, I started with about 1/2 tsp and added more as desired.
When mixing the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, do this SLOWLY. You don’t want your mixture bubbling or fizzing too much.
You can use whatever essential oil flavors you want to these soaps. Think about what area of your health you’re needing help with and start there.
The recipe above makes 3 large bombs/steamers.
Have a blast, and relax!
