What is a gi-map?
A GI-MAP™ (gastrointestinal microbial assay plus) is an incredibly detailed and sensitive stool test that analyzes the DNA and genes of organisms in your gut. These organisms make up your gut microbiome and consist of both good and bad bacteria, parasites, viruses, worms, and fungi, as well as sensitivities, and immune and digestive markers in your gut. This map shows the direction to take when addressing root causes of disease in the body.

1. Meet & Greet
This is done online through Zoom where I get to know you and you get to know me. I want to learn about your health history and your current lifestyle to get a picture of your health journey. I also set a priority to hear your health goals and see where you want to go with your health. Submit a request and I will get in contact with you on when we can meet.

2: GI-MAP + Protocol
I will order the test kit to be mailed to you directly. It will come with step-by-step instructions on how to collect your sample and mail it back. It will take 2-3 weeks to get the results and for me to formulate your protocol. During this consultation, we will go over your test results in detail and I will explain your custom protocol based on my assessment.

3: Follow Up Consult
Depending on what stage of the healing process you’re in, the length of the protocol may vary. Factors to be considered are current/residual symptoms and any updated test results. Some extensions, changes or tweaks in protocol may need to be done. I will be with you every step of the way and will follow up with you as needed to discuss any next course of action.

In the summer of 2022 my life took a strange and unseen turn. As a mama of 4 kids, I have always tried to care for them with every ounce of my ability and knowledge. My practice is primarily online. I will contact you for an initial consult and review your test and protocol via Zoom. It typically takes 45 - 60 minutes. You will also have email access to me during the time of your protocol.

I accept all major credit and debit cards for my consults. I will invoice you via email.

Though I don’t accept insurance for the consultation fee, it is possible that your insurance will cover a portion of the GI-MAP™ test (you pay the lab directly).
RupaHealth, where the test is ordered from, is self pay, but you’re welcome to submit an itemized bill to your insurance for possible reimbursement. HSA & FSA is accepted. Rupa also has a 3-month interest-free financing plan through the payment platform SplitIt.
I will give you an invoice for my consultation fee so that you may submit it to your insurance as well.

Results vary from person to person due to severity of symptoms as well as which stage you are at in the healing process. Improvements in things like sleep typically happen rather quickly. Other symptoms such as skin breakouts or fatigue may take longer to notice changes, even though great healing is happening.
