Hi, friend!
I’m Caitlyn.
As a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, faith is at the core of who I am and what I pursue in this life. I’m also a pastor’s wife, mother to four, worship music leader, diy enthusiast, and a registered nurse turned full time stay at home homeschooling mama.
My passion of caring for others is rooted deeply in the love that Christ gives so freely. He has stirred in my heart the same love for others and I am blessed to be pursing a career doing just that. Working as a medical professional, I have become passionate about empowering people to think critically, ask questions, and to advocate for their health with safe options.
In 2015, after I had my first child, I made the decision to stay home full time after working a traditional nursing job. After experiencing the power of natural solutions, I came to a point in my career where I yearned for a different way of doing healthcare - for myself, my family, & my patients. A better way. A healthier way. A more natural way. I believe integrative wellness — modern medicine + holistic health — can coexist with the correct knowledge and consistent pursuit. I still maintain licensure as a RN, and have the blessing of sharing that knowledge to empower and encourage people just like you.
my approach
I believe that you should be able to use integrative and natural options to help improve your quality of life and the lives of others. I am here to help empower you, to encourage you, and to support you in your journey. I want YOU to experience the life-changing benefits of natural solutions and most importantly, the One who is above all and through all and in all!
more about me!
credentials & experience
I started pursing my nursing career after graduating from high school. I felt the Lord’s calling on my life way before then and was accepted into the nursing program immediately following highschool graduation. I started working in the float pool at a hospital after graduating as an LPN. which consisted of med-surg, post-op, labor & delivery, cardio-pulmonary, and psyciatric floors. I graduated in 2012 with my RN and continued on to complete my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. During that time I worked at a campus medical clinic in Ft. Worth, Texas where my husband attended seminary. Working at the clinic included family practice and urgent care. I maintain active licensure, along with continuing education.
How did you begin your wellness journey?
In 2014, my oil journey began after my husband and I lost our first child at 9 weeks gestation. After that traumatic event, I sought out the advice of my chiropractor who introduced me to the world of essential oils and the oil blend Clary Calm. I used it consistently, and just 7 weeks later my hormones had returned to a level where my body could support a normal healthy pregnancy, and found out we were pregnant again! Praise the Lord! During this time I experienced a great deal of "unlearning" many preconceived ideologies. I got started with the top 10 essential oils. And in the years that followed, I learned how to care for things naturally — as a first-line of defense — as they arose…and the rest is history!
what is your favorite worship song?
This is a hard one…alright, alright, I’ll give you my top 3: How Great Though Art, Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me, and The Cause of Christ.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and most of my childhood was in Hillsboro, Missouri. I met my husband at a church camp a little south of there, and after dating and getting married, we moved to Ft. Worth, Texas for my husband’s schooling. We ultimately ended up in a small town in the state of Illinois where my husband pastors a church and have been here ever since.
Tell me about your children.
I have 4 kids: Asher, Jael, Shiloh, and Esther. They are all evenly spaced out about 20/21 months apart. It’s a lot all at once, ha ha, but it’s exactly what the Lord had planned for our lives and I am thankful. My kids are one of the greatest treasures in my life. Being their mama is a continual humbling, motivating, and refining experience. I am truly blessed.
“We wait in hope for the lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts reoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, lord, even as we put out hope in you.”
— Psalms 33 : 20-22
